The Internet is filled with information on different types of engagement ring with different shapes and size and sometimes it can be overwhelming. For someone who is constantly on the go for meetings and finishing up business contracts or projects, we have a quick list of what you need to ask the jeweller.
3, 2, 1 .......
When most of the time price is the utmost decision-maker, it is very important to understand the quality. When you have decided to buy an engagement ring; knowing the value of the diamond is important as it is an important and memorable moment for both of you. Here is something for you to think about and ask the jeweller apart from the normal 4Cs and price.
#1 - Certification - The diamond trade has certified and uncertified diamonds. Look for International certificates which state the exact size, colour, colour and plotting of the inclusions. All of our The Love Diamond jewellery has an international IGI certificate from 0.30ct and above. It is very detailed which gives you a peace of mind.
#2 - Quality control - It is good to ask how your purchase (if it is a loose diamond you are purchasing) will be controlled from the time you put a deposit to designing to setting and finishing up as a beautiful engagement ring. We can only have the memory to a certain extent and it is always good to check the laser engraving on the diamond which matches the certificate.
#3 - After-sales service - This element is often left unquestioned, but we believe it is very important because it gives you the assurance that we care for you. It is important to go back to the jeweller to service your rings once in a while, if not every 6 months, try a yearly routine. This is because metal wear and tear and scratches like all metals do. Have your diamond engagement ring checked and if it is loose; send it back to the jeweller to tighten and service the ring.
Having a good after-sales service will also assure you that you have chosen the right jeweller for the most important woman in your life.
